Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel (15 November 1891 – 14 October 1944)
Popularly known as Desert Fox, he was a German Field Marshal of WWII. He earned the respect of both his own troops and his enemies. His Afrika Korps was never accused of war crimes.

He was one of the Third Reich's most decorated soldiers during World War II. Prior to 1929, he was Adolf Hitler's chauffeur and bodyguard but received rapid promotion.
