Foreign Volunteers for the Waffen-SS were Highly Intelligent and Ambitious, Another Study Says
Swiss, Swedish and Danish men who volunteered for the Waffen-SS were highly intelligent and ambitious individuals, a new study suggests.
In an article published in the journal Contemporary European History, Dr Martin Gutmann argues that men from the neutral countries of Scandinavia and Switzerland who offered their services “left for Germany with an active interest in contributing both physically and intellectually to the NS project”. Gutmann challenges ‘the myth of the volunteers’ – namely, that they were uneducated social ‘losers’ and deviants, drawn by naivety or greed.

The National Socialist Movement has scheduled an April 18 return to Toledo, nearly a decade after a planned rally ignited black rioting in the city.
The NS group’s Oct. 15, 2005, demonstration preceded a riot and the arrest of more than 100 blacks and antifa. Angry non-white crowds attacked emergency workers, burned down a bar, and looted two convenience stores. An Egyptian television news anchor accused “the Jews of exploiting the Holocaust to suck the blood of the Germans.”
The video footage of host Gaber al-Karmoty first appeared on the Egyptian ON TV network and was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. Karmoty lamented the fact that publishing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad was permissible but that the Holocaust was “off limits.” "I'm talking about what people call the Nazi Holocaust, for which they are still sucking the blood of the Germans. Who? The Jews!" said Al-Karmoty.

A 94-year-old man has been charged with 3,681 counts of accessory to murder in Germany on allegations he served at Auschwitz.
Prosecutors said the defendant was a former SS sergeant, who acted as a medical officer at the work camp in 1944. If found guilty he could face a jail term ranging from three to 15 years. Defence lawyer Peter-Michael Disetel told the Bild newspaper there was no evidence of a "concrete criminal act". Prosecutors in Schwerin in northern Germany said they could not name the man because of privacy laws.
